News, Whats Happening, Reminers, and BLAH

With regards to the events of the Twilight fandom recently, we, the
administrators of several websites, have heard your pleas requesting
something be done to support Stephenie. So, to answer the question of
"what can we do" that we have heard repeatedly over the last
twenty-four hours, we propose the following list of suggestions. Feel
free to participate in one or all of the events.

1. Post this for your MySpaces, Blogs, LiveJournals, website sigs etc. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=9g8uwo&s=4

2. Write a letter to Stephenie at

3.
Participate in a "We support Stephenie Meyer" video. All you have to do
is send a picture of yourself showing support to
twilightthanks@gmail.com and put "VIDEO" in the subject line. Be
creative with your show of support, but make sure it is a still
photograph and not an actual video. We will take the photos and make
them into a video that will later be posted on You Tube.

4. For
those of you graphics people who want to do something, we have another
idea. We are going to make a virtual quilt. Send a 200 X 200 support
graphic to twilightthanks@gmail.com and we will work it into a virtual
support quilt. Make sure you put "QUILT" in the subject line.

5.
On Saturday Sept. 13, in honor of Bella’s birthday, wear a twilight
themed t-shirt to show your love of the series. If you work or have
other obligations that won’t allow you to wear a Twilight shirt, wear
all black, white, and red to show your support.

All entries for
the video or quilt must be submitted by Wednesday Sept. 3, 2008. You
are certainly welcome to do one in each category, but that is by no
means a requirement. Also please submit each item in a separate email
as it will make our sorting go faster. If there is some sort of detail
we left out that you need help with, email twilightthanks@gmail.com with "HELP" in the subject line and we’ll see what we can do.

Who’s up for some healthy competition, eh?
Well, we got a competition for you guys!

Ever heard of ‘Fan of the Month’ competitions? Well, this is a pretty self-explanatory competition. We don’t want you guys to just lay around, waiting for the movie! haha, so we’ve decided to make ‘FOTM’ in Twilight Pinas a reality.

Want to know how it works?

Well, basically, you send us a 5-sentence message on why we should pick you as fan of the month. And we’ll deliberate who wrote the best message. But remember, that if you want to join, your entries must be sent no longer than 2 weeks before the next month starts.[example=  this month, you cannot send your entries during the 24th to the 30th. This will be deliberation period.]

What’s the prize, you say?

Well, I know it prolly ain’t much, but you get to be featured in our page, and you get some sorta banner you can place in your profile! Plus, when we have chosen the winner already, it will be announced in the bulletin board! And if permitted by you, we’ll place your winning entry below the FOTM banner in our profile!

Chat Discussion

Hey guys! Mina here. Just a little news here.

We
hold regular chat discussions over at our Yahoo! Messenger Account. You
know, through conferences. Our main reason for holding all this chat
discussion is so that the group don’t just fall apart into peices. One
of the goals for the members, too, is to meet new people through these
things. And what better way than chatting! (hahaha. so cheesy, lmao)

When,
what time, and the topics  will be posted as a bulletin or blog, so
keep alert! haha. or not. Just in case there are students out there,
the discussions will mostly be held weekends, because I am a student
myself, and weekends are.. well, WEEKENDS… heehee

Oh
and the bulletins and blogs regarding the discussions will be posted a
week before, or at least two days before. Though there will be a
possibility that some discussions would be cancelled.

Yes,
I need help. I can’t run Twilight Pinas solo anymore. Its going to take
a toll on my life soon because Twilight Pinas isn’t the only thing
going on in my life now. Hahaha. So I need someone to be here when I’m
gone to update all our members with news. So hopefully, I will have
found a worthy partner before Friday the thirteenth. :O its friday the
thirteenth next friday! hahaha. factoid of the day.
